Petit Chat

Whitworth area bakery, "Petit Chat" is a lovely place to find breads, pastries and savory treats. I personally am a huge fan of their savory croissants, which are filled with things like feta and spinach. We tried their garlic and rosemary bread tonight and highly approve. Northsiders- let's keep this place in business!

Madison Apartments

This website is hard to find, but these apartments are gorgeous.
Great value and brand new in downtown Spokane.
Studios at $340-floor to ceiling windows $900+.
Too bad they didn't open until we already found something....
Maybe next time we move....

Magic Lantern

Independent theater, documentaries & foreign films, $5 a ticket, downtown.....
I will say no more.

Actually, I will say, if we let this place go out of business I will personally start it again.

And I will also say, they are super friendly.

Did you know Spokane has a large refugee population?
Did you know you can get to know a specific family by volunteering
with Global Neighborhood?
Do you realize how amazing this is?

Pedro's Pizza

Searching for tasty gourmet pizza from a local, family-owned restaurant? Pedro's is a South Hill secret, with free delivery and carry out pizzas. I've always loved Pedro's, and really appreciate their variety. If you want a killer pepperoni look no further, but if you want to try something with wheat crust, artichokes, and olive oil and basil sauce they will serve it with a smile. Oh, and p.s. my aunt and uncle started it!

mizuna

I discovered Mizuna this December. Tucked into a cozy building downtown, the atmosphere was relaxed and yummy. My husband and I visited for our anniversary dinner. Fresh, local, organic produce is used, so you don't have to worry about what you are eating. The restaurant has a history of catering spledidly to vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores with graciousness.

I especially enjoyed the white cheddar and apple salad (half 6.50).

I'm excited to dine under their adorable white lights this summer (May-September)
